The tourism industry is different from any other industry because, instead of a product, you are selling a place and all the things it has to offer. You are competing with the entire world every time you promote tourism in a given destination, and this high level of competition demands a creative and unique approach. Tourism development and advertising are closely interrelated. Advertising can play an important role in the expansion of production, income and employment in the tourism sector. Therefore, this study examines the role of advertising in the marketing of tourism and tourists attraction using a descriptive and analytical method. The statistical population consisted of tourists who visited Ardabil province during the summer of 1394. The method of collecting data in this study is library and field study (questionnaire).To analyze the data, stepwise regression model was used. The results of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between tourism marketing and advertising. The results also showed that personal communication in tourism advertising is the most effective factor.
